Calico Beans (Destonee)

1 lb hamburger
1/2 cup onion
1/2 cup bacon bits
1/2 cup ketchup
1 can kidney beans
1 can butter beans (don't drain beans)
2 Tbsp vinegar
1 Tbsp mustard
1 tsp salt
1 can pork & beans

Cook hamburger & onion till browned.  Add all ingredients together.  Cook in crock pot 4-6 hours

Pasta Fagioli (Destonee)

1 15 oz can great northern beans
1 lb hamburger browned and drained
1 onion chopped
1 stalk celery chopped
2 cloves garlic
2-10 oz cans beef broth
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp dried basil
2-14 oz cans whole tomatoes
1/4 tsp dried marjoram
1/4 tsp hot pepper sauce
3 cups cooked pasta

Combine all ingredients in crock pot except pasta.  Cook on high 4-5 hours.

Taco Salad (Destonee)

1 can kidney beans (rinsed and drained)
1 pkg frito chips
1/2 pkg taco mix

Cook hamburger, add beans, add taco mix.  Put all other ingredients together.  Serve over frito chips or tortilla chips.

Hamburger Soup (RaNae Jackson)

1 -1 1/2 lb lean hamburger
potatoes
carrots
onion
bay leaf
homemade noodles
1 qt tomatoes or tomato juice

Boil hamburger; skim off fat.  Add potatoes, carrots, onion, bay leaf, and noodles.  When vegetables are done, add tomatoes or juice.

Noodles:
1 egg, beaten
1 cup flour
1 tsp salt
2 Tbsp cream or milk

I add a drop or two of yellow food coloring.  Roll our very thin and slice in "noodle" strips.

Crock Pot Stew (Lisa Johnson)

6 to 9 carrots, cut up
4 to 6 potatoes, cut up
1 1/2 lb stew meat
1 cup water
1 tsp worcestershire sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
1 bay leaf
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp paprika
1 onion, quartered
1 stalk celery with tops, cut up

Put ingredients in crock-pot in the order given.  Stir just enough to mix spices.  Cook 10-12 hours on low (5 to 6 hrs on high), stirring every hour or two.  Remove bay leaf.  Serve

Cabbage Patch Soup (Patrice Bean)

1 1/2-2 lb hamburger
1 large onion, chopped
1 cup celery, chopped
2 cups shredded cabbage
salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
2 tsp chili powder
2 cups water
2 tbsp sugar
2 cans red kidney beans
1 large can tomatoes

Brown meat and onions; add celery and cabbage.  Cook vegetables until clear or wilted.  Add water and seasonings.  Stir well.  Add tomatoes and beans. Simmer for 1/2 hour.

Beef-Vegetable Soup (Dorothy Ence)

2 1/2 lb beef chuck roast
1 Tbsp oil
8 cups water
3 stalks celery, cut in 1/2 inch pieces
3 carrots, cut in 1/2 in pieces
3 potatoes, cut in 1/2 inch pieces
1 onion, chopped
6 peppercorns
1 Tbsp parsley
2 tsp salt
2 tsp beef boullion granules
1 bay leaf

Set super pot cooker at 225 and brown meat on all sides in oil.  Add all remaining ingredients.  Cover and reduce heat to simmer for 2 hours.  Remove meat, peppercorns and bay leaf.  Trim meat from bone and cut into 1 inch cubes.  Return meat to Super Pot.  Skim off fat before serving.  Yield:6-8 servings.

Renae's Beef Stew (Gaia Christenesen)

1 lb stew meat
1 medium onion, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
2 cups carrots, cubed
2 cups potatoes, cubed
1 can tomato soup
1/2 can water
2 tsp salt
dash of pepper
3 Tbsp tapioca
1/2 tsp Worcestershire
a little cabbage  (optional)

Brown stew meat in round roaster (or any oven-safe pan with a cover)  Drain.  Add rest of ingredients.  Bake at 250 for 5 hours.  Do not remove cover while cooking.  Can be cooked in a slow cooker but takes 8 or 9 hours.

Taco Salad (Destonee)

1 head of lettuce chopped
onion chopped
tomatoes
8 oz thousand island dressing
1 lb ground beef (drained)
1 can kidney beans (rinsed and drained)
1 pkg frito chips
1/2 pkg taco mix

Cook hamburger, add beans and taco mix.  Put all other ingredients together.  Serve over frito chips or tortilla chips.

Carne Asada Taco (Meka Sugano)

1 1/4 lb steak
2 Tbsp white vinegar
3 Tbsp soy sauce
4 cloves garlic
2 limes (juice)
3 Tbsp olive oil
1/4 tsp paprika
3/4 onion chopped
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp dried oregano
1/4 tsp cumin
cilantro chopped
lime juice

Medium bowl: whisk together vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, juice from 2 limes, olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, chili powder, oregano, cumin & paprika. 
Place steak in flat glass baking pan.  Pour mix over the steak.  Cover and refrigerate for 1-8 hours

Mix chopped onions, chopped cilantro and lime juice.  Place in refrigerator.

Cook steak on grill.

Cut up steak into strips, place steak, onion mix and whatever other toppings you like on flour or corn shells.  Enjoy!

Oh Boy Supper (Owna Crofts)

Brown & drain 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
add diced medium onion and
1 cup finely chopped celery

Mix together:
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
(no water)
1 Tbsp soy sauce 
season to taste

Simmer 10-15 minutes
Serve hot over heated chinese noodles (La Choy)

Easy Beef Stew (Kathryn Robinson)

2 to 3 lb sirloin steak or rump roast, cut into 1 inch cubes
3 carrots
3 celery sticks
1 onion
1 bell pepper
8 oz fresh mushrooms
4 large potatoes
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
2 cans cream of celery soup
1 tsp garlic powder
1/3 cup worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup margarine

Cut meat into cubes.  Remove all fat.  Peel and cut potatoes into cubes.  Peel and cut celery, onions, carrots, bell pepper and mushrooms into bite size pieces.  Place meat and vegetables in a large roasting pan.  Fold in all soups, garlic, Worcestershire sauce and butter.   Do not add water.  Bake in oven at 350 for 2-3 hours, uncovered.  Cover pot and bake 1 more hour.  Serves 8-10

Baked Minestrone Soup (Jean Ward)

1 1/2 of lean beef stew meat, cut into cubes or lean ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
1 tsp minced garlic
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 cup sliced black olives with liquid
1 cup small macaroni
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
3 (10 1/2 oz) cans beef broth
1 large can tomatoes (undrained)
1 can kidney beans (undrained)
1 1/2 cup sliced carrots
2 cups zucchini squash (if available)

Combine beef, onion, garlic, salt, peper, and olive oil in large oven pan.  Toss to coat meat evely and brown, uncovered, in hot oven (400).  Add broth, water and italian seasoning.  Cover; cook 1 hour until meat is almost tender.  Stir in tomatoes, beans, olives, carrots and macaroni.  Sprinkle zucchini on top. Cover; return to oven for 40-45 min longer until macaroni is tender.  Makes about 3 1/2 qt. 
    Note:  This soup can also be made on top of stove

Carne Asada Burritos (Chelsea and Eric Anderson)

Top Sirloin, or any type of tender beef
3 lemons -Squeeze the juice out
1 cup vegetable juice
1/2 cup soy sauce
black pepper and garlic to taste

Mix the ingredients and put them in a bowl to marinate overnight.  Stirring every few hours. 
Grill the meat

In the shell put beans, meat, and avacado.  Fold up and melt cheddar and jack cheese on top
