Calico Beans (Destonee)

1 lb hamburger
1/2 cup onion
1/2 cup bacon bits
1/2 cup ketchup
1 can kidney beans
1 can butter beans (don't drain beans)
2 Tbsp vinegar
1 Tbsp mustard
1 tsp salt
1 can pork & beans

Cook hamburger & onion till browned.  Add all ingredients together.  Cook in crock pot 4-6 hours

Potato Leek Soup (Destonee)

4 cups chicken broth
3 potatoes peeled and diced
1 1/2 cup cabbage chopped
1 leek diced
1 onion chopped
2 carrots chopped
1 lb bacon cooked and crumbled
1/4 cup parsley
2 tsp salt
2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp caraway seeds
1 bay leaf
1/2 cup sour cream

In lg. crock pot combine chicken broth, potatoes, cabbage, leek, onion, carrots & parsley.  Stir in salt, pepper, caraway seeds & bay leaf.  Cover and cook on high 4-5 hrs.  Remove bay leaf before serving.  combine liquid from crock pot with sour cream.   Add to crock pot and stir in bacon.

Pasta Fagioli (Destonee)

1 15 oz can great northern beans
1 lb hamburger browned and drained
1 onion chopped
1 stalk celery chopped
2 cloves garlic
2-10 oz cans beef broth
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp dried basil
2-14 oz cans whole tomatoes
1/4 tsp dried marjoram
1/4 tsp hot pepper sauce
3 cups cooked pasta

Combine all ingredients in crock pot except pasta.  Cook on high 4-5 hours.

Baked Potato Soiup (Destonee)

2/3 cup butter
7 cups milk
4 green onions sliced
1 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup sour cream
1/2 tsp pepper
2/3 cup flour
4 lg baking potatoes diced
12 bacon strips cooked and crumbled
3/4 tsp salt

Melt butter in pan and stir in flour.  Gradually add milk.  Add baked potatoes and onions, bring to boil.  Simmer 10 minutes.  Add remaining ingredients, stir until cheese is melted.

Cabbage Salad (Destonee)

1 pkg coleslaw mix
6 green onions
1/2 cup toasted almonds
1 pkg crushed ramen noodles (chicken flavor)
shredded chicken

Dressing:
2 Tbsp sugar
3 Tbsp vinegar
1/3 cup olive oil
1 seasoning packet from noodles

Mix all except ramen noodles.  Add noodles just before serving.

Broccoli Delight Salad (Destonee)

5 cups chopped fresh broccoli
1/2 cup raisins
1/4 cup red onion
2 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp vinegar
1 cup mayo
10 bacon slices cooked and crumbled
1 cup sunflower seeds

In a large salad bowl, combine broccoli, raisins, and onion.  In a small bowl combine sugar, vinegar, mayo.  Pour over broccoli; toss to coat.  Refrigerate.  Just before serving sprinkle with bacon and sunflower seeds; toss.

Faux Chicken Cordon Bleu (Destonee)

16 slices ham
16 slices swiss cheese
16 chicken strips (breaded or tenders)
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup sour cream

Roll with chicken strip in the center, then cheese, then ham.  Lay 2 rows of 8 in 9 x 13 pan.  Mix soup and sour cream.  Pour over chicken and bake @ 325 for 1 hour.

Chicken Zucchini Casserole (Destonee)

6 cups sliced zucchini
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 pkg stovetop stuffing mixed as directed
1 cup shredded carrots
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup sour cream
shredded chicken

Cook zucchini, onions and carrots for 5 mins.  and drain.  Mix dressing as directed.  Set aside.  Fold in zucchini, onions, and carrots with sour cream and soup and chicken.  Put dressing in bottom of 9 x 13 pan (save 1/3 for topping) pour over zucchini mixture, then top with remaining dressing.  Bake@350 for 30 minutes

Taco Salad (Destonee)

1 head of lettuce chopped
onion chopped
tomatoes
8 oz thousand island dressing
1 lb ground beef (drained)
1 can kidney beans (rinsed and drained)
1 pkg frito chips
1/2 pkg taco mix

Cook hamburger, add beans, add taco mix.  Put all other ingredients together.  Serve over frito chips or tortilla chips.
